Clean lunch ideas

When trying to be healthy and eat clean, it can sometimes get a little boring and you may run out of ideas. Here are a few to keep you on track!

I always find myself hungry by 11:00, and that’s when i eat lunch most of the time. I  try to have fresh greens and  already cooked protein in the fridge to save time. In the lunch pictured above, i decided to throw in some added flavors, and boy was it delish!

-1/2 pound ground turkey

-sweet potato fries ( made with my spiralizer )

-Handful of fresh greens

-half of an avocado sliced

When cooking up my ground turkey I always just throw it in a saute pan and mix a little salt , pepper and garlic powder on it.  The sweet potato fries are just coated in a little coconut oil, then baked at 400 for about 15 mins.

This salad is packed full of everything you need to keep your day going. You can even top it off with a little bit of your favorite light dressing. The flavors all work really well together and it won’t leave you feeling sluggish.

This picture is another example of a lunch I have on a daily basis. Fresh salad with sprouts, cucumber, tomatoes and sliced avocado on the side.

The protein you see is a garlic hot dog that is absolutely amazing! I buy them from uswellnessmeats.com. They are sugar free, antibiotic free, grassfeed beef. I love to dip them in a little mustard to really live it up 😉

Sometimes its easier to throw a lean cuisine in the microwave, or even a lean pocket (I can’t believe i used to eat those!) But take the time to think about what you are putting in your body. What does it need to run properly? how do you usually feel after a heavy processed meal? Like crap right?!

Keep your lunch light and  your energy up with these ideas. I will be posting more in the near future so stay tuned!
